Troubling the Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics
Edited by TC Tolbert and Tim Trace Peterson
“I write to capture moments of sincerity and vulnerability. I write to connect to my ancestors, to heal and to inspire others to heal as well. As a Trans queer, Christian raised Brujo, US Citizen, Immigrant Chican@ I write to reach my people meaning all marginalized and invisibilized folks. I write to assist social change. I want to reach out to my readers as a learner, working to stay aware about privileges afforded to me because of oppressive powers and systems. By working to be aware of my privileges I can write from my core, and access the beauty from my struggles.” - from my Poetic Statement from Troubling the Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics

Self published chapbook
This 35 page chapbook [with hand letterpress cover] features some of my most well responded poems such as "to be home", "we can be there for each other" and "recovery from oppression" and lesser known poems, prose as well as a short story. I am excited for this chapbook because it showcases my growth as a writer as well as gives trajectory for my future in writing.
